Zhs Waffles

If you ever get a sweet tooth at the ‘Muskingum County Fair’ there is place you can savor your taste buds while supporting a local cause.

Zanesville High School Band Boosters Club is selling waffles at the fair this year. We talked to a couple of the members who told us all proceeds raised will fund the band supplies, uniforms, their trip to Disney World and help with their competitions. Band Member, Shawn Henderson explains what they are making.

“Basically what it is, is a waffle. What we do is fry them up for a couple of minutes, once they are a nice golden brown we powder them in sugar and people love them,” said Henderson.

Band member, Aneaus Curtis said he has been involved with selling waffles at the fair for three years. For those who have never tasted the waffle Curtis describes the taste.

“It taste really sugary. If you’ve ever had powdered sugar and french toast? That’s what it kind of taste like, from that batter. It’s like tasting french toast but, a little more sweet then that,” said Curtis.

You can too satisfy your sweet tooth with sweet exclusively found at the Muskingum County Fair, now until Saturday, August 20th.
