Million Dollar Lottery Winner
Somebody in Muskingum County could be holding a winning $1 million Ohio lottery ticket. It was part of the New Year’s Raffle game.
The lottery sold around 400,000 tickets and 3,334 prizes were offered. In those prizes were four tickets valued at $1 million. And Mother Tucker’s on Sharon Avenue in Zanesville sold one of the million dollar tickets.
“Very unbelievable that we did sell it,” said Mother Tucker’s Owner, Jimmy Pitcock. “This is a very popular lottery store in general. We did sell quite a bit of the New Year’s Raffle but just the odds were so minimal that it would happen, but four people had to win it, and luckily enough it came from here.”
For selling a million dollar ticket Mother Tucker’s will receive a $5,000 pay day. Pitcock said he’s not sure how they’ll use the money yet but that the employees will benefit some.
“Definitely, the employees will definitely get something because I’m well aware of if it wasn’t for them this place wouldn’t run the way it does,” said Pitcock.
The Ohio Lottery says the winner has not yet come forward.
