Tom’s Makes Its Way on the Ohio Ice Cream Trail
Zanesville- For over 75 years, Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl has been making and dishing out ice and is getting the spotlight from the Ohio Ice Cream Trail.
The Ohio Ice Cream Trail was originally created in 2018 with 15 stops. Now the trail recommends 54 family-owned and nationally recognized chains throughout the state as a fun way to explore Ohio with tasty treats along the way. The Zanesville staple was added last month as part of the celebration for National Ice Cream Month as stop number 46 on the trail.
“I mean, it’s great. It brings in a lot of tourism. We’re on the Ohio Tourism page all the time. We have a lot of people create exposure, national exposure, it’s, it’s a big thing to be on that,” said Aaron Wahl General Manager
Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl, located at 532 McIntire Avenue, currently offers 36 homemade flavors of ice cream with a hot food menu full of delicious and affordable items. In Wahl’s opinion, the employees are what makes the experience the best that it can be.
“My favorite part here is the staff. They’re hard working, they’re awesome, they’ll go out of their way, they’re running their tails off all day, they’re what makes this place,” said Wahl.
