This weeks furry feline will be sure to steal your heart.

The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County would like to introduce you to Cartney. Her owners unfortunately had to give her up, so she’s looking for a new home. She is up to date on all her shots and you can adopt Cartney for a small fee of only $10.

"Cartney is a 10 year old calico cat, she’s already been spade and she’s a good cat, friendly cat, is good with dogs and as good with other cats and she’s already been de-clawed. So, she would make somebody a nice, indoor cat."

The Animal Shelter is also gearing up for their next big event. Coming in March, the Animal Shelter will be hosting their newest fundraiser called "Yappy Hour" at the Country Club.

"We’re gonna have local chef Bill Bird that will be providing some appetizers, Cameron Mitchell from Columbus and the chef from the country club will also be participating. So, it’ll just be a couple hour event where people can come out and sample some nice food and support the shelter."

Dates and times for the "Yappy Hour" event are yet to be determined.
