Arrests Made in Coshocton County Copper Wire Theft

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals Friday in the theft of copper wire from numerous power poles.

On Wednesday, January 7, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the theft. It is believed that on January 7, a wide spread power outage in Coshocton County was the direct result of an attempted theft of copper wire from a power pole on Township Road 306. The sheriff’s office says the power poles belong to Frontier Power and AEP. The incident remains under investigation.
