John Glenn Rolls to Shutout Victory in Week One
NEW CONCORD, OH
Everybody’s ready for this season. Everybody has high expectations early on. Fourth down, Owen Edwards finds Jake Johnson, who bounces off two tackles as he makes his way into the end zone for the first touchdown of the season.
To quote a great movie, “Friday Night Lights”… “And he can pass!”…“Jake the Great” finds Ryder Pennington all alone for the easy opitch and catch, 14-0 John Glenn. I know it was the first game of the season, but I’m telling you now, Cole Robinson is an all-state watch!
The kid caught two interceptions in the first half of today’s game. The all-state magic number is usually somewhere around five interceptions on the season, so be on the lookout. The Muskies would go on to score 21 points in the first quarter, and never look back, as they used their early momentum to get their first win of the season, 42-0.
