Garry Neptune
Garry Neptune, 62, of New Concord, Ohio, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on October 30, 2026.
He was born June 6, 1964 in Zanesville, son of Charles Neptune and the late Linda Gill. Garry was a man who never met a stranger, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, a generous heart, and a vibrant love for life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Betty Neptune; his brother, Tommy Neptune; and his sister, Kimberly Harney.
Garry leaves behind his devoted wife, Tera Neptune, whom he married on May 11, 2015. He is also survived by his father, Charles Neptune; his sisters: Michelle (Rick) Brown and Tammy (Daryl) Johnson; his son, Toby (Madison) Neptune; and his five stepsons: Adam Armstrong, Ryan (Chris-Ann) Armstrong, Quentin Casey, Cole (Laila Richards) Casey, and Carver Casey.
Above all else, Garry absolutely adored his family. He was the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Also left to mourn his loss are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a wide circle of dear friends.
A logger by trade, Garry loved working with his hands and spending his days outdoors. He was deeply passionate about agriculture, raising cattle and dedicating many years to mentoring local youth. Garry served as a 4-H adviser for many years in Rix Mills, Ohio, was a long-time member of the Cattlemen’s Association, and proudly sat on the board of the Ohio Feeder Calf Roundup.
When he wasn’t working or with his family, Garry could always be found cheering on the John Glenn Muskies, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He looked forward to his regular Sunday night poker games with his buddies and cherished his yearly fishing trips to Lake Erie.
His infectious spirit, storytelling, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Tuner.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (November 3, 2026) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
