Health, Safety And Wellness Expo
The third annual Health, Safety, And Wellness Expo took place earlier today at Kids America in Coshocton.
The expo was free to the public and featured over 50 exhibitors, kids activities, numerous health screenings and a plethora of wellness and safety information. Executive Director of the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, Amy Stockdale, says there are many participants each year.
"Last year for our second annual we we had over 500 participants," said Stockdale.
The event was designed to be educational for the entire community. Families were encouraged to attend and share information in a fun and engaging way to get a healthy start to the New Year.
"Today we’re talking a little bit about wellness because that’s why we’re all here. We’re talking about balance, some of the new techniques we’ve been working with as well. We have a speech therapist too who’s doing swallowing, and sharing information on swallowing. We have a therapist that does running evaluations, they can give you some exercise tips and things to help runners," said Jennifer Bluck, from Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
According to Bluck the best way to stay healthy in 2015 is to be active.
