4-H Club Sells Homemade Pie

For those who love pie, national pie day is a long awaited day and Sunday the Zane Trace Riders 4-H club celebrated by selling dozens of pies.

In total 63 homemade pies were sold at Ohio Pottery Norwich. You could purchase a whole pie to share with family or just buy a slice for you. However, that’s not the only thing the club offered today, hot chocolate and homemade ice cream were also hot items. All the proceeds went straight to the club.

“It pretty much just goes to the 4-h club so we can pay for stuff at the fair, and do different stuff throughout the year,” said Zane Trace Riders 4-H president, Hannah Fox.

Club members made all the pies themselves and they couldn’t resist taking a break to try a slice of their handy-work. Hannah said her favorite type of pie is peanut butter.

This years National Pie Day fundraiser definitely helped to satisfy their customers sweet tooth.
