Do-It Center Helps People Dig Out

As Zanesville residents were digging out of the snow this afternoon, the Do-It Center on East Pike was helping people with all their winter needs Tuesday.

Electric heaters, rock salt, heat tapes, and shovels are just some of the items the store offers. Salesman Dayle Bailey told us about what people have been buying the most.

“Some are buying heaters, stuff to help keep warm. You know, a little electric heater for a spare room they have or doesn’t get heated as well as the rest of them. Put an electric heater in there. We sell a lot of kerosene heaters for garages and out buildings and construction work.”

They have a variety of different shovels and salts to help scoop the frozen precipitation. Maybe you already shoveled your walk and drive and are looking to reward yourself for your hard work. If so, the Do-It Center even sells lots of different sleds to help you feel like a kid again. Bailey also shared some tips to help make clean up easier when the next snow event comes to visit.

“With ice melter especially, if you know its going to snow, you can go out and put it down before the snow gets here and it will melt it as it hits instead of waiting till its there and you’re trying to get rid of it. Get rid of it as it comes down.”

For all your winter needs, be sure to stop by the Do-It Center during their business hours.
