ZANESVILLE, OH- The Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Ohio, Zanesville Daybreak Rotary and volunteers from Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health came together today to build the walls that will help frame the next Habitat house for a family here in Zanesville.

Habitat Houses typically take over 4 months in total to complete and require a lot of support from the community.

“Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio has a great website, it has so much information, from there you can learn how to apply for our programs, you can sign up to volunteer, which we always need volunteers on a build site and you can make a financial contribution, it has a lot of information and we really encourage people to go to that website, it is www.HabitatSEO.org,” said Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Ohio Director of Community Engagement, Melissa Best.

With all of the volunteers working together, they were able to complete 40 walls within a few hours. Many generations came together to help out and learn how to build walls.

“My name is Brad Potochnik and I am out here with my brothers [Wilbur Clark and Dustin Wood] from Cedar Ridge, we are out here doing service work and giving back to the community,” said Cedar Ridge Volunteer, Brad Potochnik.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health often partners with the local Habitat for Humanity to help work on their projects.

“I just want to thank Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health for allowing us to be a part of this,” said Cedar Ridge Volunteer, Dustin Wood.
