Zanesville Man Sentenced In Drug Case

A Zanesville man is sentenced to 12 years in prison on drug charges. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 38-year-old David Durant was facing multiple drug charges including trafficking, possession and having a weapon while under a disability. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says his deputies searched a home at 1620 Wheeling Avenue in August of last year and discovered 45-thousand dollars in methamphetamine, 7-thousand dollars in heroin, 28-hundred dollars in cocaine, 23-thousand dollars in U.S, currency and three handguns. In addition to the prison sentence Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill also imposed a fine of 32-thousand-500 dollars and ordered forfeiture of the U-S currency found at the scene of the raid.
