Downtown Exchange to Host Toy Drive
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The holidays encourage the joys of gratitude and generosity through the spirit of giving.
And the Pine Creek Valley Farm Foundation will be holding a toy drive at The Downtown Exchange Saturday to collect toys and donations for children who are in hospitals during the holidays, while giving coloring books and candy canes to the kids attending the event.
“This year we want to put a little twist on our toy drive. So for every 20 toys that we’re collecting are a hundred dollars donated because we have a deal where we can buy pallets of toys. We’re going to be helping out kids in pediatric units. So like Nationwide Childrens, we got a couple of kids in Genesis, we have some foster families that we’re donating to and we also have a couple of families that are local that we personally have talked to that we’re going to donate the toys to as well. So for every 20 toys that everyone brings in, or $100 that we get on our Facebook live while we’re here, I’m going to take a whipped cream pie to the face and even James,” Pine Creek Valley Farm Foundation President Storm Clark said.
The Pine Creek Valley Farm Foundation was created 2-years-ago and has been holding fun fundraising events throughout the community, throughout the year, to help those in need.
“They should expect a good time. A lot of pies to the face. We’re just trying to raise some money for a good cause and make sure kids have a good Christmas this year,” Pine Creek Valley Farm Foundation Vice president James McCance said.
The toy drive will be held from 1-to-5 this Saturday at The Downtown Exchange, located at 527 Main Street in Zanesville.
