Enhancing Images Through a Lens
A new month means it is time for the First Friday art walk in Zanesville.
This month Z.A.A.P. is featuring Connie Lambert and her photography. In Z.A.A.P.’s newsletter Lambert writes she enjoys finding beauty in everyday things. Whether it be animals cars or buildings she captures all in her photographs, and when necessary she enhances the color of her photos.
“That enhances her work and makes it more appealing to the average person’s eye, so as you go around the room you see the things she has hanging and what the subject matter is and how she’s enhanced it you’ll understand better what we mean in enhancement of photography,” Z.A.A.P. member Gary Graham said.
Graham, said Lambert’s influence takes her to unique places. He comments that she even got a job driving the tour bus at the Wilds so she could get closer to her subjects, the animals.
“Her subject matter comes locally or what we would consider locally whether that’s a local park or whether that’s up the river or out in the country,” Graham said. “She goes to the Wilds and finds or looks for very unique subject matter.”
Lambert’s photos are being featured at Z.A.A.P Gallery all month starting tomorrow at 5 p.m. During the First Friday art walk.
