Z.A.A.P. Preparing For Annual Auction

If you are a fan of local art, the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project is holding their annual fundraiser.

The special event has been going on for 9 years now, and all of the dollars go to supporting Z.A.A.P.. We spoke to Gary Graham, a member of the Arts Project, who told us more about what it takes to raise the funds.

“We do this at the same time each year. All the members donate one, two, three, four–whatever number of pieces they’re comfortable with, to be auctioned off as a fundraiser.”

The gallery will be open tomorrow night [April 3rd] for the First Friday Art Walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be live music, food, and good company. You are welcome to begin bidding on the pieces in the silent auction. The live auction will be held on May 1st. Graham says there will be a variety of art to view and select from.

“Well you’re going to see watercolor. You’re going to see acrylics. You’re going to see oils. You’re going to see photographs. You’re going to see wool pieces, you’re going to see different types of art all together.”

Graham says there is always a very positive response to the event from those who stop by, and you, of course, are invited to come out and enjoy the fun.
