Sub Sale to Benefit those in Need
Tax day is on the way, but Operation Feed is giving you a reason to smile as you file your return.
The United Way’s annual sub sale as part of Operation Feed is coming up on April 15, but orders are now being taken for the sale. Executive Director of Christ’s Table, Keely Warden, said the sale is a way to enjoy tax day.
"It’s a great way to treat your employees on tax day to a free lunch," Warden said. It’s "only $6 and all the proceeds for this go to Operation Feed."
Operation Feed is a program the Muskingum County Hunger Network has each year. All funds raised through the campaign go to the 15 food pantries and four hot meal programs in the hunger network. The campaign kicked off last week, and Warden is grateful for all the enthusiasm people have shown so far.
"Things are going well," Warden explained. "It was a wonderful kick-off we want to thank everybody that came out for that. And you’ll be seeing things happening here periodically through the campaign, just trying to keep the community excited and it also gives us an opportunity to do just a little bit of fundraising for Operation Feed."
Helping the campaign is as easy as ordering a sub. The ordering deadline for this sale is April 13th. To order, you can contact the United Way at (740) 454-6872 or Christ’s Table at (740) 452-9766.
