New Chief Development Officer at MVHC

The Muskingum Valley Health Centers have a new Chief Development Officer.

After serving for 20 years as the Director of Muskingum County Job & Family Services and being on the board of MVHC since it opened in 2008, Randy Cochrane steped into his new role with MVHC this week.

“I’m going to be responsible for working in the community and communicating the mission of MVHC to the people in the communities,” Cochrane said. “In addition to that, we’re going to establish a foundation in which I will be the executive director.”

Once established, the Patient Care Charitable Fund will seek to raise money so MVHC can continue to grow. Cochrane said it’s not only about having solo fundraisers, but also finding long time donors who want to continue the services the centers offer.

“This is an organization that provides quality, accessible health care to our constituents in our community and we need to be sure that we are able to continue to do that regardless of their ability to pay, regardless of what their issues are they’re dealing with,” he said. “We want to be sure that we’re able to continue to provide that service.”

Cochrane said he thought he would spend another few years at Job & Family services before retiring, but now he says he is excited to get started in his new role with MVHC.
