Longtime Car Dealer Dies

The longtime General Manager of a Zanesville car dealership has died. 79-Year-Old Jim Kobunski of Tansky Incorporated passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. After high school Kobunski coached Junior High basketball at St Nicholas and was the manager of a semi-pro baseball team called the Phi-Duncs. For ten years he worked at McGraw Edison Company. He also spent 50 years at Tansky car dealership on Maple Avenue becoming G-M and Vice President. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday at The Snouffer Funeral Home in Zanesville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Snouffer Chapel with his son Jeffrey Kobunski officiating. Kobunski will be laid to rest at Mt Olive Cemetery.
