Red Cross and AAA Spa and Pool To Hold Family Fun Day

The Muskingum Valley Red Cross is partnering with AAA Spa and Pool Services on Maple Avenue this Saturday.

Family Fun Day is going to be held beginning at 12PM and will run until 3PM. Food, refreshments and games are just some of the things that will be offered. Red Cross Executive Director Marlene Henderson says a hands-only CPR class will also be offered.

“We are coming out to give some educational information for anyone who owns, whether its an above ground pool, an in ground pool, even kiddie pools sometimes, because we know it doesn’t take much for a toddler to drown.”

Anyone who attends will also have the chance to enter a raffle for a new spa valued at $4,500. Tickets will be $20 a piece or $100 for six. Henderson says the money goes toward an important cause.

“All the proceeds will then come back to the American Red Cross so I encourage everyone to come out and buy a ticket for that. If you cant, give us a call and we’ll make sure that you get a ticket for it.”

The drawing for the new spa will be held on July 5th. Everyone is encouraged to attend the event.
