Margaret Merriam, 87 of Zanesville passed away Wednesday August 24, 2016 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born on May 30, 1929 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Margaret Burns Kinkead.
Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church on Putnam Ave. where she also volunteered at the Free Store which is operated by the church. She enjoyed working in the yard & around the house.
She is survived by niece: Brenda (Michael T.) Graybill of Zanesville, great nephew: Michael John Graybill, nieces: Cathy (Bob) Hittle of Zanesville and Margie (Terry) Glaub of Zanesville and nephew: Larry (Kay) Merriam of Oklahoma and several great nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Emmett Merriam who died in 2000, brother: John B. Kinkead and niece: Cindy Hiles.
Friends may call 2 to 4 pm on Sunday August 28, 2016 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 29, 2016 with Pastor Joy French officiating. Burial will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery.
