Riesbeck’s Holds Operation Feed Food Drive

Riesbeck’s held its annual Operation Feed Spring Food Drive Friday.

This event of giving has been going on for three years now and helps out the local hunger networks. Executive Director of Christ’s Table, Keely Warden, said she is always grateful to see the support.

"We just want to give a big thank you out to Rieseck’s for coming out today and helping out the 15 food pantries and 4 hot meal programs in the Muskingum County Hunger Network. It’s just great. They’re here for us all year but to come through for us for Operation Feed, and do something like this to benefit all the food pantries and the hot meal programs, we certainly appreciate it."

For only $5, you could buy a bag of food which would be donated back to hot meal programs and food pantries within the county. Assistant Store Operator of Riesbeck’s, Rodney Price explained why they enjoy helping.

"We’re part of the community here and it lets people know, that we do, you know, being part of Zanesville. That we like to help out and help out the charities and such."

The event ran from 11AM to 4PM. If you missed Friday, you can still donate to your local food pantries and hot meal programs.
