***UPDATE*** One Lane Open After U.S 40 West Accident

**UPDATE*** As of 8:20 a.m. — One lane is open to traffic and one lane is partially blocked. ***UPDATE

The Zanesville Highway Patrol says the westbound lanes of U.S 40 are closed Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle accident. It happened just before 8:00 a.m. at Kimes Road. Initial reports say that the vehicles suffered heavy damage. The accident remains under investigation.
