Monday I-70 Accident Update

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is releasing more details from a Monday morning accident on I-70.

The Sheriff says it happened in a construction zone near the Adamsville Road exit just before 5:30 a.m. Lutz says that a pick-up truck driven by Delbie Harding of Zanesville was traveling west on I-70, went out of control, crossed the median and struck a mini-van traveling eastbound. That van was driven by Domingo Cortez of Providence, Rhode Island. He had six passengers including a one-year-old baby.

Everyone was taken to the hospital for treatment. The baby was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Harding was the only person in his vehicle and was also taken for treatment. Lutz says none of the injuries appear to be life threatening. The accident remains under investigation.
