Father Sean Dooley Ordained
Local Rosecrans High School graduate Father Sean Dooley was ordained into the priesthood may 30.
May 31 he celebrated with his first mass at the Saint Nicholas Church and a reception with friends. The gathering featured food, friends and many photos of Dooley. He said that he’s happy to be home with those he’s known for so long.
“[it’s] kind of surreal, i’m not going to lie… [it’s] kind of surreal but it’s all good,” said Dooley. “It’s just so good to be back home and such an honor to celebrate my first mass at Saint Nicholas. ”
Dooley completed seminary schooling in Columbus, Ohio and he explained more about his time of study.
“The schooling I went through was very structured [with] classes and prayer time and living with other guys at the seminary,” said Dooley. “Guys from Phoenix Arizona all the way to New York so I got to know a wide array of people in the seminary.”
Dooley will take on the role of Parochial Vicar for four parishes in the Ohio area including Washington Courthouse, Chillicothe, Zaleski, and Waverly.
