Two Arrested in Joint Drug Investigation

Guernsey County- A joint drug operation by several law enforcement agencies has led to the seizure of over 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of two individuals.
39-year-old David Lee Doyle has been charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs with a money forfeiture specification and aggravated possession of drugs with a major drug offender specification. While, 37-year-old Brianne Nykol Rollins faces charges of complicity in the commission of an offense and aggravated possession of drugs with a major drug offender specification. Both are from Zanesville.
Authorities said on February 3, a narcotics investigation, which originated from the Licking County Sheriff’s Office and Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office assigned to CODE, culminated in Cambridge at a local hotel after detectives learned that the suspects were in the Cambridge area trafficking narcotics during a narcotics operation.
This investigation led to a traffic stop of the suspects on Southgate Parkway, which led to the arrest of the Doyle and Rollins.
During this traffic stop, a large amount of US Currency was seized by Detectives, as well as, other evidence, which showed that that the suspects had rented/occupied a Cambridge Area Hotel.
Once this information was discovered, a search warrant was prepared for the room by a Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office detective, along with the assistance of an MCSO detective involved in the initial investigation of this case and suspects.
Once the search warrant was signed and approved for execution, this warrant was executed at the hotel/room in question. During a search of the room, approximately 511 grams of suspected methamphetamine was seized, along with multiple other evidentiary items/paraphernalia related to drug trafficking.
Doyle and Rollins remain in custody in the Guernsey County Jail pending a felony bond hearing in Cambridge Municipal Court.
Law enforcement involved in the case include the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Zanesville Police Department and Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office.
