13th Annual Bikerfest Weekend

The tent is set up and the chairs have been put in place for the 13th annual Bikerfest Weekend.

The three day event starts Friday night at the Rushing Wind Biker Church on East Pike. Pastor Michael McGuire said no matter how you get there, everyone is invited to attend.

“We want you to come in a car or a cage or a motorcycle or a trike or a sling shot, yes a sling shot, that’s pretty cool, but we want everyone to come be a part of this community with Bikerfest Weekend as we do this thing,” McGuire said outreach is very important to him.

McGuire said it brings the community together. The tent outside the church has around 500 chairs set up. He added that all the events are free, and people can come down to see what the church has to offer.

“The goal of the event is to bring the camaraderie of the bikers together and we will have clubs and ministries as well as young children and folks who are just interested in seeing a lot of cool motorcycles,” McGuire said.

The weekend’s events are as follows:

Friday at 7:00 p.m. McGuire will recognize local pastors. There will be a lunch Saturday at noon at the Salvation Army then they will ride to “Bethel Missions.” Later on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Fred Z from California will be at the church. Finally on Sunday morning there is an event with McGuire at 10:30
