Perry County Courthouse Roof Collapses
The torrential rain caused major problems at the Perry County Courthouse today, as part of the roof there collapsed.
According to Perry County Commissioner, Jim O’Brien, the balcony above the side entrance has a capped roof that gave way, and the walls caved in around 3 o’clock this afternoon. O’Brien said they didn’t notice it until the water started pouring in to the entrance way to the courthouse. He anticipates the damage will cost a substantial amount to repair. No injuries were reported in the incident.
