Car Inspection Ensures Safety

According to Auto Club AAA, getting your car inspected before hitting the road this summer is essential.

The auto club offered vehicle inspection and car seat checks at Northside Maysville Pharmacy Wednesday. Senior Public Relations Manager, Kimberly Schwind, said you should get your car checked twice a year.

“It’s just very very important for people, not only if you’re going on a road trip but even if you’re just driving around town to make sure that you have a well maintained vehicle,” Schwind said doing so can help “prevent those breakdowns, prevent getting stranded and then to make sure that your most precious cargo, your children are secured properly in the car.”

Ensuring the safety of your kids is why AAA added the car seat check at the inspection Wednesday. It’s the reason Cindy Bradford got her car checked.

“I wanted to make sure that my car was safe and most importantly I wanted to make sure my seat belt or my car seat was safe for my grandkids because I haul my grandkids around a lot,” Bradford said.

If you missed the car seat check, you can make an appointment with the AAA office in Zanesville. However, to get your vehicle inspected, you should go to a trusted mechanic.
