Newman Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges

A Zanesville man facing multiple drug charges pleads not guilty in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. The Prosecutor’s Office says that 35-year-old Wesley Newman is charged with four counts of trafficking in drugs including a major drug offender specification. Judge Mark Fleegle continued Newman’s bond at two-million dollars. He is being held in the Muskingum County Jail. Newman was arrested Sunday in Noble County after being listed as one of Muskingum County’s most wanted suspects. Newman’s charges resulted from a joint city-county drug raid at homes on Pine and Baker Streets in Zanesville.
