Rotary Club Introduces New President

The Noon Rotary Club met Tuesday for their weekly meeting to celebrate a new president.

Stacy Clapper began her duties this week for outgoing president, Paul McClelland. McClelland spoke to us about what this past year as president meant to him.

“The most rewarding thing was our 100th year celebration, and having the immediate past president of Rotary International, Ron Burton, come and speak, and to realize what a large organization rotary is worldwide and how our community fits into that, and the great accomplishments the organization has made worldwide as well as within our community,” McClelland said. “It was a humbling experience.”

McClelland said he was honored to serve as president, but is looking forward to the new era of the club.

“One of my goals was to leave the club in a strong position to move forward for the next 100 years, and I’m very happy to pass the torch on to Stacy Clapper, who is now the president of the club, and we’re excited to continue the projects that have been started and look at new things we want to accomplish in the future,” he said.
