Perry County Drug Busts
Perry County Sheriff William Barker is releasing details on three separate drugs raids this month that resulted in three arrests. The first occurred July 3rd at 204 North State Street in Crooksville. Deputies executed a search warrant and seized an undisclosed amount of prescription narcotics, currency and firearms. Sheriff Barker says 73-year-old Larry Bishoff was arrested. The second incident happened on July 6th in New Lexington. Detectives with the Central Ohio Drug Task Force and deputies say they raided a home at 223 West Brown Street and made an undercover purchase of heroin from 23-year-old Derek Boone II. Investigators say they then seized bulk quantities of heroin and crack cocaine from the home. Boone was arrested and charged with a felony count of trafficking in drugs. Detectives also charged 39-year-old Erica Triona with permitting drug abuse. The third incident happened on July 10th also in New Lexington. Detectives were watching a home at 118 ½ South Main Street after receiving information that drugs were being sold from that location. After two males exited the home and got into a vehicle they were stopped and searched and officers say they found a substantial amount of prescription drugs and currency. No names are being released in that incident and no arrests have been made in that case.
