Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Fest Reaches Milestone

The Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival is celebrating 50 years.

In honor of its anniversary, the fest is bringing out more vendors and crafters than ever before. President, Mike Sharkey, said its a privilege to carry on one of the area’s favorite traditions.

“I’ve been coming to this festival since I was a little kid, and when the committee came to me and wanted me to chair-up this to keep it going, it was an honor,” Sharkey said. “We have crafters and vendors here from all over the place, they have come in from 150 miles away to set up with us.”

One of the highlights this year is a fishing tournament, but Sharkey said there’s a little something for everyone, including corn dogs and deep fried Oreos, which are always fan favorites.

“It’s like our mini-fair once a year, it brings people out, it’s just a good time, live entertainment, something for everybody,” he said.

The festival is at Roseville Village Park, and runs Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
