Rittberger Opens Food Wagon

A recent addition to the Rittberger store on Maple Avenue gives people the opportunity to get, ready to eat, Rittberger meals. 

Rittberger opened the food wagon three weeks ago. President, Andy Rittberger said the goal is to showcase what the business has to offer both in its store and on the wholesale level. 

"The food wagon is kind of an extension of that," he said. "We’ll take those same products we put into our food wagon and offer them as a hot sandwich or a hot meal. So if they don’t know the product, they can be introduced to that particular product in the food wagon."

He said everything served out of the wagon is available in the store, which is right next door. It’s something that he said has boosted sales by 30 percent the past few weeks. 

"I just encourage people to come in and try it," Rittberger said. "We call it the wow factor. Anything that we sell in there, we want you to go wow, and it’s pretty much the way it is."

The food wagon is open each Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Rittberger said those hours could be extended if business stays the way it’s been.
