Gratiot United Methodist’s Bible School Underway
Area kids saddled up their horses Wednesday for Gratiot United Methodist Church’s annual Vacation Bible School.
The theme this week is Saddle Ridge Ranch and students dressed in their country best for the occasion. Pastor Matt said the church chooses a different theme each year, as a fun way to share the Gospel with the kids.
“This year it’s ‘No Good Nick’ and he’s gone from terrible and no good, to well… I think he’s actually going to end up being St. Nick, and he’s going to be offered a job that somebody already has, so that’s how it’s going to end up, but it’s been a wonderful week, we’ve had a petting zoo here tonight, last night we had a hayride, just want to give the kids something they can enjoy and learn about Jesus at the same time,” he said.
The petting zoo was a big hit among the crowd. Children’s Ministry Leader, Melanie Hall, said the church also provides crafts, snacks, and singing for the kids to enjoy.
“It’s just a fun time to just be together and be able to have fun, and just have the love, I think that’s the biggest thing is just shedding love on the kids because they need that,” she said.
It’s not too late to join the school, Hall said they are still welcoming new students, through Friday.
