Individual Pulls Gun At Pine Street Dairy Mart
An incident involving a gun at the Dairy Mart on Pine and Baker Streets occurred Saturday evening.
Sergeant Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department said a man entered the Dairy Mart to purchase items when he was approached by another man from the Columbus area. McCoy said there was a confrontation between the two. That’s when the Columbus man pulled out a gun and pistol whipped the local man. The individual from Columbus then fled the area by vehicle. McCoy told us they both potentially suffered minor injuries. The names of those involved and information about the suspect are not being released at this time. Mccoy says they will be placing units at the Dairy Mart to cut down on loitering and future altercations. He explained this is the second reported incident involving a gun at this location in July. The incident remains under investigation.
