Gunshot Wound Investigated

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into an alleged weekend shooting. 

It happened in Windsor Township Saturday afternoon. After receiving a call, officers found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his left upper shoulder. Sheriff Thomas Jenkins reported in a press release that the victim was alert and conscious just clear of State Route 266. 

A suspect was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived. Jenkins stated that the victim was transported to a Columbus Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
