Amazon Expands to Licking County

Electronic commerce company Amazon.com will bring thousands of jobs to Licking and Franklin Counties.

The office of Governor John Kasich announced that 2,000 full-time positions are expected as a result of the company’s new project in Etna Township and the Village of Obetz.

The positions will generate $60 million in annual payroll. 

The state’s tax credit authority approved a 75-percent, 15 year tax credit for the project. 

Besides Amazon, the board reviewed tax credits for 14 economic development proposals brought by JobsOhio and its regional partners.
