Community Youth Foundation Hosts Membership Drive

The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is looking for new faces.

All high school students are eligible to join the foundation. Advisor of CYF Juliet Lacy said the group works hard throughout the year to help the community.

“CYF meets monthly on Sunday afternoons throughout the school year,” said Lacy. “The students just get together for about an hour or so to plan activities and work on team building and leadership training and then they’re also involved in various community service projects throughout the year. ”

While fundraising and service are the goals of the group, Lacy said you also get the chance to meet new friends.

“It’s a great opportunity for them not only to develop community service and learn about grant making within the Community Foundation but it’s also a great opportunity for them to get to know some students from other schools that are here in the county,” said Lacy.
