Car Hits Pedestrian

A 13 year old boy was transported to Genesis Hospital August 5 after he was struck by vehicle.

The call came in just before 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Zanesville Police Department Patrolmen Kyle Brookover said the unidentified female driver was traveling south on Moxahala Avenue when the boy ran in front of the car. Upon impact he rolled toward the top of the vehicle causing extensive damage to the windshield.

Police say the driver will not be cited and the pedestrian was found at fault for the accident. The extent of the boy’s injuries were unknown at the time. The names of both the driver and pedestrian were not released. The accident remains under investigation.
