Car Nation Hosts Animal Adoption Event

Paring up Saturday, Car Nation and The Animal Shelter Society are hosting their second event together featuring both animals and cars.

From 10-2 tomorrow you can visit Car Nation located on Maple Avenue where you can find lots of puppies who are ready for you to adopt and take home. Among them will be the pets of the week: 2 month old pug mixes, Coconut and her brother Frankie, who arrived at the shelter August 1st.

“The really good thing about this event is not only will we be able to have some of our puppies displayed but for every vehicle that they sell tomorrow, they’re going to donate $250 back to us. So our thanks goes out to car nation and we really appreciate when businesses help us like this.” says executive director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray

Its been a busy summer for the animal shelter society says executive director jody murray. They’ve done adoption events like this almost every weekend. It’s a win-win for them anytime they have the chance to find a home for one of their animals.

“I think anytime we’re out doing an event like this it’s always successful. It’s not always measured by the number of adoptions we do but the great thing about this is we get supported by businesses here locally. Being a private, non-profit, it’s really important for us to get financial support from area businesses and it’s just a great day to come out if you’re even remotely thinking about adopting or remotely thinking about test-driving a car. It’s a great day to deal tomorrow. ” states Murray
