Area Businesses Network on the Green

Area businesses did social networking the old fashioned way … in person.

The annual Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce and Jaycees golf outing at Jaycees’ course meant locals got another chance to connect over a four man scramble.

“Some of the members send their employee as an award or recognition for their hard work,” said Membership Services Director Dana Matz. “Some of the bosses come out. Some of them bring clients out, so it’s a pretty nice mix of businesses from the Muskingum County area. ”

33 teams came out for the event and Matz said the day provided the perfect opportunity for people to get to know each other and build relationships.

“So far we’re very fortunate,” said Matz. “The weather’s beautiful today and that’s number one. Number two, the course is in great shape as always, playing well and a lot of great comments from the folks golfing. ”

The shot-gun start was at 1 p.m. and the outing continued through 4 p.m.
