‘Kidz Kraze’ Celebrates First Year
Fall is approaching which means school is just around the corner.
One local church is gave kids the opportunity to have some fun before the work begins. The LifeWay Church in South Zanesville hosted their very first ‘Kidz ‘Kraze’ Aug. 15 and 16.
“What we’re trying to do is we’re trying to bring the children together just so that they’ve got something to do just before school starts,” said Senior Pastor Jim Henerson. “So we’re kind of giving them a push to go back to school. ”
While it’s about fun and games, the church also wanted to welcome children to think about faith over the weekend.
“It’s a spiritual based thing so we want them to think about Jesus and all that he can bring to their life so putting together the bounce houses and all the games and it’s truly a community event,” said Henderson. “It’s our church but not just our church but a lot of other folks.”
About 125 kids came out to enjoy the ‘Kraze’ and the church hopes to continue the new tradition in the coming years.
