2015 Fair Wraps Up

The weather was nothing short of perfect for the fair’s final day.

Hundreds packed the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Saturday to partake in all the festivities, including the fair’s final event, the truck and tractor pull. But as it comes to an end, Fair Board President, Darrel Cubbison said it was another successful year.

“Well this year has been a fantastic year, the weather has been just great for us, everything that we had scheduled went right on time, last night’s show was awesome with Trace Adkins, it just couldn’t have been any better, a packed, sold-out crowd, a crowd that went crazy and we just loved it,” Cubbison said.

The different varieties of food raised excitement this year. Cubbison said the entertainment, along with the sunshine, brought large crowds every day.

“Attendance has been very good, it’s just very difficult to have great attendance, but I just look at the trash barrels and they’ve been full,” Cubbison said. “The smiles and the livestock sales have been so good for the young people and it’s just great.”

As the fair bids farewell, Cubbison said preparations are already underway for the 170th Muskingum County Fair.
