Accident at Military and Northpointe

Multiple agencies responded to a two car injury accident at the intersection of Military Road and Northpointe Drive in Zanesville. 

It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. A woman in a silver car said she attempted to turn left off Military when she and a Ford Explorer made contact.

A witness tells WHIZ news that she did not see the initial contact but saw the SUV roll several times before coming to a rest off the left side of the roadway. The same witness said there were three children in the Explorer at the time of the accident. 

The Zanesville Police Department could not confirm the number of people injured or transported as a result of the accident. The driver of the silver car said there were two passengers in her car who, like herself, were not injured. No word yet on the condition of any of the occupants in the Explorer.

Traffic was restricted and directed by officers with the ZPD and Ohio State Patrol Troopers during the initial investigation.
