Benefit for Renee Emerson Saturday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– Locals come together to fund raise for an area woman fighting for her life.
Wife, mother of three, and the owner of Emerson Greenhouse Renee Emerson has been diagnosed with stage four colon and liver cancer. Emerson’s family is hoping the community comes together to help her win this battle. This Saturday a benefit for Emerson will take place at Vista Golf Course. All proceeds from Saturday’s event will go towards Emerson’s medical and personal expenses. Emerson’s family tells us when they found out about Renee’s condition it left them speechless.
“Renee. She’s very helpful,” Lisa Emerson said. “She would do anything for anyone. They are actually the kind of people who are more served. We actually had to talk them into letting us put the benefit on. They are just quiet and to themselves, and they don’t like all the attention.”
Saturday’s benefit feature a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and live entertainment by the local band Ol’ Dirty Strangers band.
“We’re trying to generate some funds to help defray her expenses while having a great time,” Paul Quin said. “Come out. Hear some music and raise some money for a great cause.”
The benefit for Emerson will begin at 4 p.m. at the Vista Golf Course Greenhouse on 2600 Hennessey Drive.
