164th Morgan County Fair

MCCONESLVILLE, Ohio – The Morgan County Fair kicked off Tuesday in McConnelsville.
The fair gates open at 8 a.m. every morning this week with food, games, and rides. Brock Roberts, the fair board director, said that this year they are trying some new attraction this year to raise attendance on the early days of the fair.
“Today we’ve got tug-pulling going on for the first time since 1981,†said Roberts. “We’re trying to bring that back so we have something to do on Tuesday during the day.â€
This is the 164th year for the Morgan County Fair. Admission is $8 per person. Roberts tells us some of his favorite attractions at the fair.
“This year it sounds like our mud bog on Saturday is going to be a pretty big hit and Friday night our tractor pull we usually have a lot of people here for that,†said Roberts. “My favorite food stand is actually McCuen’s Super Tenderloin. You can get a tenderloin about the size of a dinner plate.â€
The Morgan County Fair will run through this Saturday.
