Pair in Court on Gun Charges

Two New Mexico natives appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

59-year-old TeaJay Johnson and 21-year-old Ginger Maurer both plead not guilty to improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Johnson also plead not guilty to having a weapon while under disability.

Sheriff Matt Lutz said on August 19, the pair was stopped in Dresden and a search of their vehicle resulted in the discovery of the .45 caliber hand gun and an AR 15.

Johnson is being held in the Muskingum County Jail on $100,000 bond while Maurer has a $50,000 bond.
