36th Annual Genesis Pro-Am Golf Outing Tee’s Off

Despite the muggy and dreary start, the Zanesville Country Club Golf course was full of participants on the first day of the weekend golf outing.

Terri Kangas, Administrative Assistant, Genesis Health Care System said that all of the money that they raise goes to help support a different portion of the hospital each year.

“This year we are supporting surgical services,” said Kangas.  “It’s video equipment to assist in the minimally evasive procedure areas.  This helps the surgeons to see inside the patients when they are doing the surgery.

This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Genesis.  “We raise annually over a hundred thousand dollars to give to the hospital.  Since it started, we have raised over two million dollars thats given back to the hospital.”

The tournament will resume on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday.
