ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton is looking for some leaders to help with the Kidzville playground renovation project.

Mayor Tilton is not looking for volunteers. He’s asking for volunteer leaders. This role would include being in charge of refreshments, equipment, and shelters among other things.

“There’s many different areas of the project that we’d like to have covered,” Mayor Tilton said. “Plus the administration will be there to help too.”

Mayor Tilton said the volunteer leader role is important. Tilton said it allows members of the community to become involved as well as lend a helping hand so city officials can continue doing their daily tasks.

“We have people that enjoy that. We want them to come forward and help us make this project happen,” Tilton said.

If you or someone you know, is interested in applying for this leadership role. Contact Mayor Jeff Tilton or Public Service and Development Director Jay Bennett at (740) 455-0601. The Kidzville renovation project is slated to begin spring 2017. The mayor hopes to have planning meetings with volunteer leaders starting this winter.
