Fugitive Shawn Williamson captured

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Law officials worked together to successfully catch a wanted fugitive.

Lieutenant Bill Shaw with the Zanesville Police Department, said on Sunday evening the search started on Doug Road for Shawn Williamson. Lieutenant Shaw said Williamson has been wanted on multiple felony warrants.

Williamson tried to get away by jumping in the Muskingum River. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Zaneville Police Department, and Zanesville Fire Department surrounded the area. Williamson surrender without incident.
